VTAR Institute was formed in September 1990 and has 35 years history. VTAR Institute is honored to cultivate thousands of professional talents from the different industries who can contribute to the society development. In addition to providing quality education, VTAR also pays great attention to cultivate and train on students’ moral character, also guide the students to develop better attitudes, mind-set, moral values that it required in the competitive global market. VTAR hope to cultivate more talented and highly qualified professionals for the industry.
The Electrical Installation and Maintenance (SKM2, SKM3) and Electronic Equipment (SKM 2, SKM 3 and DKM 4) programmes at VTAR Institute have been awarded a five-star rating in the evaluation conducted by the Department of Skills Development Malaysia (JPK), while its Aesthetic Services programme （SKM1, SKM 2 & SKM3） received a four-star rating.
This assessment is a nationally recognised accreditation based on Malaysia’s TVET standards, involving a comprehensive review of programme quality, teaching management, instructor competency, and training facilities.
These achievements reflect VTAR’s excellence in curriculum design, skills training, and academic management, as well as its long-standing commitment to delivering high-quality technical and vocational education. The institution consistently aligns its programmes with national standards, while continuously enhancing its teaching content and training approaches to ensure relevance with industry trends and workforce demands.
In 15th June, 2023, VTAR Institute is very honored to receive “The BrandLaureate SMEs BestBrand Award 2023 for– Best Choice Brand Award category (Education – Vocational Training Solutions) issued by The BrandLaureate World Brand Foundation for outstanding brands and companies in the market in year 2023. This award is an affirmation and an honor for VTAR Institute. This honor proves to the leaders and management in recent years, to cultivate technical and vocational human resources for the country, and also received positive comments from the market. VTAR Institute will continue to work hard to provide more high-quality, high technology vocational programme to cultivate more talents in different industries and contribute to the country’s economic development.
In August 2024, VTAR Institute was honored with the “Best TVET Institution for Electrical, Electronic, and Digitalization Manufacturing Automation Programme” award by the Malaysian Education and TVET Award 2024. This award is not only a recognition of VTAR Institute’s 35 years of dedication in the TVET field, but also an acknowledgment of its continued efforts in promoting technological innovation and talent development.

拉曼技职学院感到非常的荣幸在2023年6月15日荣获由The BrandLaureare世界品牌基金会针对市场中杰出的品牌和企业所颁发的2023年度《The BrandLaurear中小企业最佳品牌教育奖》。这个奖项对拉曼技职学院是一个肯定，也是一项荣耀， 这项殊荣证明领导和管理层近年在为国家栽培技职人力资源的努力，获得市场积极正面的评价。拉曼技职学院会继续努力提供更多高素质，高科技的技职课程来栽培更多不同行业的人才，为国家经济发展做出贡献。
2024年8月，拉曼技职学院荣获由2024年马来西亚教育与技职教育所颁发的“机电、电子与工业数字自动化课程的最佳技职教育机构奖项”。这一奖项不仅是对拉曼技职学院在技职教育领域中默默耕耘34年的肯定，更是对拉曼技职学院持续推动技术创新与人才培养的认可。
History Background 历史背景
Jayadiri Institute of Technology (JIT) was set up by Koperasi Jayadiri Malaysia Sdn Bhd in September 1990 to provide further study opportunities for KOJADI member’s children and the public to cultivate skilled talents needed for the industry. As a community project, JIT offers students affordable wholesome education. JIT Education loan scheme specially made available by KOJADI for students who needed financial aid. The courses offered by JIT include Electronic & Electrical Engineering, Business Administration & Office Technology, Computer & Information Technology.
A decade later, Kojadi Institute (KI) was officially launch. It represents a new beginning of JIT after rebranding and moving from shop lots at Jalan Klang Lama to Wisma MCA, Jalan Ampang. KI is committed in providing quality and affordable education. KI focus in providing academic education in three programmes: Diploma in Electronic & Electrical Engineering, Diploma in Business Administration & Office Technology, and Diploma in Computer & Information Technology. Besides that, KOJADI Institute also offered technical and vocational course approved by Department of skills development (JPK). This also aligned with the government’s commitment to cultivation of skilled workforce. KI offered three technical and vocational courses, including Electronic Equipment, Electrical Installation and Maintenance and Beauty Therapy courses. Graduates will obtain Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia, (SKM) issued by the Department of skills development (JPK).
In August 2015, in order to provide students with a better learning environment, KOJADI Institute officially transformed into the VTAR Institute and relocated to a new campus adjacent to the main campus of TAR UMT in Setapak. In October 2015, the new campus was officially inaugurated. VTAR Institute is honored to have nurtured thousands of skilled professionals across various fields, contributing significantly to the nation’s development. VTAR Institute is proud to have contributed to the development of the society by thousands of professional technicians from different fields for the country. In addition to providing quality education and training, VTAR Institute also places great emphasis on the moral development of students. This includes guiding students towards fostering positive attitudes, critical thinking skills, and ethical values essential for the workplace. The aim is to cultivate more outstanding professionals for the industry.
自立工艺学院成立于1990年9月。 其宗旨师为自立合作社的社员子女及社会大众提供深造的机会，为工业培养所需要的技职人才。 作为一项社区计划，自立工艺学院 提供收费合理且完整的教育与训练，需要经济帮助的学生，可以申请自立合作社特别为他们而设的贷学金。自立工艺学院主要开办的课程包括电子与电气工程， 商业管理， 办公室技艺，市场大众及媒体关系，商业发展，电脑研究，资讯工艺，多媒体及网际网络工艺等课程。
十年后，自立学院（KI）正式成立。 它代表了JIT的新起点，经过品牌重塑，从旧巴生路的店铺搬到了安邦路马华大厦。 自立学院致力于提供优质和价格实惠的教育。自立学院专注于提供三个学术课程：电子与电气工程文凭课程，工商管理与办公技术文凭课程，和电脑与咨询工艺文凭课程。此外，自立学院也开办由人力资源部技术发展局批准的技职课程。这也符合政府致力于栽培技术人员的意愿。自立学院开办三门技职课程，包括了电子设备，机电装置与维修和美容护理课程，毕业生将会获得由马来西亚技术发展局(JPK)颁发的大马技术证书（Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia, 简称SKM)。
为了让学生有更好的学习环境，在 2015年8月将自立学院正式转型为拉曼技职学院（VTAR Institute） 正式迁往与拉曼大学学院位于文良港（Setapak）总院毗邻的新校舍，并在2015年10月正式开幕。拉曼技职学院很荣幸的为国家栽培了数千位来自不同领域的专业技术人才，为社会发展做出了贡献。除了提供有质量的教育培训以外，拉曼技职学院在同时也很注重学生品德上的培训，比如引导学生们在职场中需要的良好态度，思维和道德价值观，希望可以为企业栽培更多优秀的专业人才。
